Starting Blogging…

October 29, 2009

Well, I finally decided to start blogging. I know, I feel like I’m selling my soul and giving into the beast too, but I hope it will be a good way for me to get my thoughts down on paper so that I can fully formulate them and also have a place to record what God has been teaching me through what I’m reading and experiencing. I’d also love feedback on these meditations.

I’m going to start by cheating and putting up all my Notes from Facebook, but will begin posting new thoughts soon enough as they come along. Expect to see insights I gain as I read (currently John Owen), quick realizations as I read Scripture daily (and sometimes what I find as I translate the Greek), quotes that I enjoy and strike me, as well as burdens that God lays on me (He’s been hitting me heavy recently) and just rants on things that bother me.

Hey, Jason! Blogging is not quite as dreadful as Facebook, in my opinion (I'm on both, so I shouldn't say too much), and it's great to find someone else I know who's started blogging! I remember always being encouraged and spurred on to deeper thought by your comments in MCA classes, and I bet your blog will encourage many people, too.

And of course, any form of journaling is a great way to record and remember where the Lord has brought you, whether anyone else reads it or not. Keep it up!

"Whenever you are fed up with life, start writing: ink is the great cure for all human ills, as I have found out long ago." – CS Lewis.

I'm glad you have, maybe it will prod me on to create on as well. I should be writing far more often than I do. So far, it looks good.
